Fia has to choose between loving Dion or walking the earth forever as an entity, stuck in the in-between.

                           Excerpts from The Seventh Layer:
(Excerpts are in no particular order)
**He managed to maintain a certain gentleness as he devoured me in a desperate kiss, arduously grinding his prominence into my half numb thigh. My skin began to itch, then tingle, and finally burn. I arched into him as his velvety lips worked down my neck and lingered along my collarbone. His hands with nimble fluidity swiftly removed every article I wore. Raw desire undulated through my veins and pooled in my quivering belly. I was so swept up by the tides of Gianni’s manipulations that I didn’t notice how quickly he’d removed his own accouterment until I felt the blazing satin that was his skin, sliding seductively against my own.

**The facet behind my eyelids turned to flame, reddish orange swooping and spinning like the world around me. Bright white light engulfed me, my body lifting into the air. I couldn't open my eyes, couldn't bare to see the carnage that festered in the emergency room, but the rampant pounding of someone else's heartbeat put a murmur in my own. Undeniable warmth filled me to the brim, insatiable love reverberating from the fire and light.

**“I do not belong in your bed.” I could feel his discomfort, the fire behind my lids quivered nervously.
“Don't be obtuse, Abrax. I'm already on the threshold of sleep. We aren't without our clothes and aren't attempting any sort of horizontal dancing.”

**“If you keep swooning like that, I’m going to wonder if you’ve ever been on a real date.” He buried his nose in her hair again and pulled her closer to him as they walked through the front door of one of Fia’s favorite chicken wing joints. “Stop being so damn delicious and I’ll stop swooning,” Fia said under her breath.
“I heard that.”

**“No matter what anyone says, I believe that love happens sooner rather than later. It’s the trials and tribulations of life in a relationship that test the strength of that love, not its validity.”No matter what anyone says, I believe that love happens sooner rather than later. It’s the trials and tribulations of life in a relationship that test the strength of that love, not its validity.”

**“Mmhmm. And once you’re given clearance to leave, I’m taking you to my home, and I’m not letting you leave my bed.” Fia giggled, heat rushing to her cheeks.

Book Signing - The Seventh Layer 9/15/2012

I first discovered my passion for writing when I was in 4th grade. I wrote a children's story for a school project about a man who created his own pet - a blob that ate everything. Little did I know that the entire school was participating in this project, not just my class. When deadline came, all books were sent to a group of college students, who then read and rated them. It became a big event at the school. Parents came to listen to students' stories read aloud, some kids winning prizes for individuality, penmanship, grammar, the works. I sat patiently as they announced the winners, knowing in my heart of hearts that my book was nothing special. Then came the grand prize. The student who had the best book out of the entrire elementary school. The top dog. My mind raced with name after name of who I thought should win. Never once did I ever think it would be me. They had to repeat my name three times. I heard them every time, but was in too much shock to make my legs work.

Exposing Kitty Langley By Deanna Kinney *5 stars*

For almost four years, Kitty Langley has been part of a ‘mean girls’ group called the Bee Hives, the most hated and feared girls at West Windrake High. That is until she witnesses their relentless attack on her former childhood friend. Making a drastic decision, she takes a stand against the dreaded B’s and thus becomes their new enemy and number one target. Now an outcast, not only of the B’s but of the entire school, she will have to pull from her inner strength as she prepares for the persecution she will face in the name of revenge.
Reed Reynolds is not looking for trouble. He just wants to get through his senior year and work on his music in peace. But when he mistakenly kisses Kitty Langley at their annual Masquerade Dance, he is both appalled and intrigued, never having experienced a kiss so powerful. Reed soon finds himself drawn in by this new Kitty and her tolerance for her so called ‘deserved punishment’. But will he endanger himself to defend her against the B’s and the entire school in the name of honor—or more importantly, in the name of love?

This is one of those books where your like..great Mean Girls. But wait..there is a catch..A Retired mean girl who has remorse after seeing her one of her friends bullied. She stops the head Bee and with that she is cast out of the group. The entire school goes against Kitty and pummels her down.Reed is one of the very few people who helps Kitty and see's her for her real self.
This is such a wonderful short read.I loved the characters..I had a great respect for Kitty because lets face it..its not easy going from mean girl to nice girl.I loved that DeAnna brought some of the characters from the Charity Moon series...it was nice seeing familiar faces. My favorite thing about this book is the fact that the character makes such a big turnabout.Sometimes you read the back of a book and are like..I can't like that character. No siree. But then you get sucked into the book and realize Kitty's transformation and the punishment she takes from her peers.Definitely worth reading once, twice and three times!

Whew what a Rollercoaster of emotions.Cambria has written yet another WINNER!I feel sorry for the main Character Dex.Love or Death is the Premise for Recalled. If you were faced with that decision..what would you choose?Cambria Hebert Weaves a master of a story around that question..Love or Death. Is love worth it?Or is death worth living?Dex dies and becomes a taker.Which means he takes lives for the Grim Reaper. The problem is with the life of the first person he has to take which is Piper..who He saved when he was still alive. Can he do it?No Spoilers from blogger.
From the moment I picked Recalled up until I put it down I was enthralled.I only had one bone to pick and that was the books location.Im not sure why I didnt like recalled's location but it didnt connect with me.I kept picturing New York rather then Fairbanks.I dont know why but I did.It didnt hurt the story at all though just a personal preference so to speak. This story is going to take your emotions on a ride.Sigh.I wish I could write something about the ending of Recalled but that would be a major spoiler.Read it for Yourself.Enjoy it!!!

The Nature of Jade By Deb Caletti

I am not my illness. "Girl with Anxiety," "Trauma of the Week" -- no. I hate stuff like that. Everyone, everyone has their issue. But the one thing my illness did make me realize is how necessary it is to ignore the dangers of living in order to live. And how much trouble you can get into if you can't.

Jade DeLuna is too young to die. She knows this, and yet she can't quite believe it, especially when the terrifying thoughts, loss of breath, and dizzy feelings come. Since being diagnosed with Panic Disorder, she's trying her best to stay calm, and visiting the elephants at the nearby zoo seems to help. That's why Jade keeps the live zoo webcam on in her room, and that's where she first sees the boy in the red jacket. A boy who stops to watch the elephants. A boy carrying a baby.

His name is Sebastian, and he is raising his son alone. Jade is drawn into Sebastian's cozy life with his son and his activist grandmother on their Seattle houseboat, and before she knows it, she's in love. With this boy who has lived through harder times than anyone she knows. This boy with a past.

Jade knows the situation is beyond complicated, but she hasn't felt this safe in a long time. She owes it all to Sebastian, her boy with the great heart. Her boy who is hiding a terrible secret. A secret that will force Jade to decide between what is right, and what feels right.

Master storyteller Deb Caletti has once again created characters so real, you will be breathless with anticipation as their riveting story unfolds.

Jade deals with what many people deal with Anxiety. She sees a psychiatrist, psycologist and medicine. This is her story of how she grows, learns and finds romance when sometimes she has a hard time dealing with everyday things.Jade see's Sebastion and his son on a Elephant computer camera and is intrigued.
I liked this book.I had a bit of trouble with the talking back and forth between the characters as sometimes it was not quite clear who was talking. The Story was well written and well thought out.I believe that there could have been a bit more romance in it.It was there but on a scale of 1-10 it was about a 5.I believe Sebastian played a pretty big role in Jades life once they started dating and the book could have focused a tiny bit more on that. But that is just my opinion.Other then that Deb Caletti had me glued to The Nature of Jade. Its definitely worth reading!

Stop.Collaborate and Listen.Do I have your attention now?Read this book.Seriously.Its full of Awesomesauce. Ivy is attacked one night and drawn into an age old war between the martis,Heavenly creatures and Valefar Demon creatures.Ivy is both.Ivy is also the answer to a prophecy.Who is her friend and who is her enemy? Its almost to much for a 17 year old to deal with but Ivy handles it pretty darn well.
What can I say other then I read Demon Kisses and have been engulfed in the series.Im currently reading Cursed.Ivy she is a kick butt kinda girl.Collin Is a valefar. If he kisses Ivy he will take some of her soul. The problem is they are bonded. The attraction between them is so intense.Im not even going to attempt to go into it because I wont do it justice.Shannon,Eric and Al(who is a nun) are amazing secondary characters..You will see more of them in book 2.Demon Kisses starts off running and continues until hopefully the end of the series.I loved it and I have been recommending it to everyone.

Amy Bartol's Incendiary Tour Stop!!!

http://www.amyabartol.com/blog-tour-info.html

Cold, fine drops of rain fall softly on my cheeks as I emerge from the darkness of the ship’s interior to the gray, overcast sky of the main deck. Pulling my dark pea coat tighter to my body, the wind lifts red tendrils of my hair. I walk slowly to the railing overlooking the water.

I catch my first sight of the Irish coastline; its craggy landscape makes me shiver in dread. I find it difficult to imagine now how the Gancanagh had made this their home for so long without anyone realizing it. The cold, moss-covered edifices practically scream their presence. As I study the shadows between the falling-down stone, I imagine creeping shapes of undead Faeries grasping the rock, waiting for our ship to draw nearer to their position.

Tipping my face up, I let the rain wash over me. It bathes away the frigid sweat of fear that has broken on my brow. “You don’t know how fiercely beautiful you are, do you?” A quiet voice behind me asks, causing me to stiffen and fix my eyes on the rocks along the shoreline.

Author Information:
I live in Michigan with my husband and our two sons. My family is very supportive of my writing. When I’m writing, they often bring me the take-out menu so that I can call and order them dinner. They listen patiently when I talk about my characters like they’re real. They rarely roll their eyes when I tell them I’ll only be a second while I finish writing a chapter…and then they take off their coats. They ask me how the story is going when I surface after living for hours in a world of my own making. They have learned to accept my “writing uniform” consisting of a slightly unflattering pink fleece jacket, t-shirt, and black yoga pants. And they smile at my nerdy bookishness whenever I try to explain urban fantasy to them. In short, they get me, so they are perfect and I am blessed.

*Cover Reveal*How it Rolls By Lila Felix

This cover is gorgeous!!!I cannot wait to read this one!

Excerpt from Falcon
"Why this school, any school, offered classes at seven a.m. was beyond me.  It was apparently beyond a lot of students too.  Most of them came to class in their pajama pants.  Girls could get away with it because it reminded guys that they had recently been in bed.  But guys—no.
And a plus for me?  My seven a.m. teacher was from France.  And he spoke Frenglish.  Sometimes it was funny, but when he announced which chapters we should study and the names came out in English, but the chapter numbers came out in French, I wanted to strangle the sacre bleu out of him."

Love, tragedy, and mystery converge in this compelling novel from “an author to watch” (Booklist).Seventeen-year-old Parker Frost has never taken the road less traveled. Valedictorian and quintessential good girl, she’s about to graduate high school without ever having kissed her crush or broken the rules. So when fate drops a clue in her lap—one that might be the key to unraveling a town mystery—she decides to take a chance.

Julianna Farnetti and Shane Cruz are remembered as the golden couple of Summit Lakes High—perfect in every way, meant to be together forever. But Julianna’s journal tells a different story—one of doubts about Shane and a forbidden romance with an older, artistic guy. These are the secrets that were swept away with her the night that Shane’s jeep plunged into an icy river, leaving behind a grieving town and no bodies to bury.

Reading Julianna’s journal gives Parker the courage to start to really live—and it also gives her reasons to question what really happened the night of the accident. Armed with clues from the past, Parker enlists the help of her best friend, Kat, and Trevor, her longtime crush, to track down some leads. The mystery ends up taking Parker places that she never could have imagined. And she soon finds that taking the road less traveled makes all the difference.

A little info about the series:
Death Escorts is a new series from the author of the Heven and Hell series. This series is unique because each book acts as a stand alone, meaning that you don't have to read all the books in order to understand each of them. They are all based off of the same idea (that idea being the characters are all Death Escorts) and will have some of the same characters in each book. The series is for young adults and beyond and encompasses the elements of romance, thriller, paranormal and fantasy. You will not see vampires, shifters, witches, fae or any type of those kinds of characters in this series.

Cambria Hebert is the author of the young adult paranormal Heven and Hell series and the upcoming Death Escorts series. She loves a caramel latte, hates math and is afraid of chickens (yes, chickens). She went to college for a bachelor’s degree, couldn’t pick a major and ended up with a degree in cosmetology. So rest assured her characters will always have good hair. She currently lives in Pennsylvania where she is plotting her next book.      Rae is a girl trapped in pretty horrible circumstances. She lives with her mother and stepfather,Her stepfather is abusive, degrading and just an all around unpleasant man.Her mother loves him and cannot see past him to see Rae.Rae Meets Nathan and at first he is wonderful..but things start to change with Nathan..His jealousy is too much to soon..almost suffocating. She is unable to be around him due to his jealousy and just plain weird things going on with him.Rae works at a flower shop after school and knows Leo who has been her friend for awhile..Eventually they become more then friends.Sadly Something horrific happens where Rae has to be stronger and fight harder then she has ever fought before.
Well Geez,Falling For You pulled me out of my reading slump,Twice I started books I couldnt finish. Then I opened Falling For You and BAM I could not put it down.It was wonderful.I was so mad at Rae's step father and mother..if I could have jumped in the story I would have!Nathan..I didnt understand him as much..I mean I know part of his deal but I think for him playing such a big part something was needed..even if it was Rae's friend giving that info. But that did not in anyway affect the story and it is just something I think could have made the story even better.I absolutely loved how while the book went in 3 different part...there was a present day..past and then poetry as a chapter it was so very easy to follow and not be confused. It flowed so very well.I did wish there was an epilogue..but its not really needed...just a personal preference. This was the perfect book to start 2013 with!I'd definitely take the time to read this story. If not you will definitely be missing out!

Shuffle By Avery Bell

So, this is going to be awkward. Coming back to school after your mom commits suicide is no piece of cake, especially when everybody's convinced you've been locked away in a padded cell all summer. Rumors have a habit of springing up instantly at Peaks High, and weird stuff is flying around about the murder my sister's been investigating, that fire up in Oldtown, shenanigans in the boys' locker room after football practice...

And then he had to show up.

Arbor Vitae Damo da Rosa. Pale skin, eyes so dark you can't see his pupils. English accent. Immediately the most popular boy in school. And, this is probably crazy, but I think he might be stalking me. Hey, you don't have to believe me. I was in the loony bin, remember? There's something off about him, in a very Edward Cullen sort of way. But I'm pretty sure he's no vampire. And I definitely don't have a crush on him. (Though... I have to admit, he does look good in those jeans.)

Lately my life's been a huge jigsaw puzzle – one I don't have all the pieces to. I just can't shake the feeling that all of this is connected somehow. I have to figure it out. Because people keep dying...

Shuffle is a story about a girl Evi who comes back to school after her mother commits suicide. There is a new boy in school named Arbor,He is quite popular, very pale and seems somewhat suspicious.Im having a hard time coming up with the proper words to tell you how I feel about this story.I think the premise for the book was good. But I feel like it never quite happened.
It feels like there was three different sections of the book rather then one great book that flowed together well.It was quite confusing.First,Evi whose mother just committed suicide was quite perky..she wasnt as depressed as Id expect someone whose mother just committed suicide a few months ago.Second,I had issues with the whole George/Jim love triangle im not sure why that was needed and it totally came out of  left field. Then in like the space of 3 chapters I found out what was going on and the book ended. The book and I just did not mesh well.Perhaps others will enjoy it more then I did.
